A steep rising volcanic island from the depth of the ocean. One of the most impressive islands I have ever visited on my journeys. The variety of landscapes on this still volcanic active island is purely stunning. On 63km length and 44km width you will find tropic rainforest, desert, deep european style forests, red coloured rocky earth plateaus just like on planet Mars, hot running lava streams and endless numbers of fresh water waterfalls. East of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean.
